Baby Walker & Jumper
Defects and Dangers |
|
| According to the Consumer
Product Safety Commission ("CPSC"), baby
walkers and jumpers pose a variety of risks to
babies including when babies or toddlers fall down
stairs, or tip over, or when a restraint fails
to keep a child from climbing out; injuries can
also occur from small parts that break off defective
walkers/jumpers, creating a choking hazard. |
| The walkers listed
below were recalled because according to the
CPSC, the walkers fit through a standard doorway
and were not designed to stop at the edge of
a step. |
- Big Save International Baby Walkers
In February 2005, Big Save International Corp., of Los Angeles, California
recalled about 12,000 baby walkers. The walkers reportedly fit through
a standard doorway but were not designed to stop at the edge of a
step.
