          Supermarkets across the country are pulling bagged spinach off their shelves after an e-coli outbreak. Ten states have reported e-coli outbreaks from tainted spinach bringing the number of infected to 60 cases total, including one that proved to be fatal.
          The feds are telling everyone to throw out all the bagged spinach in your refrigerator. Even washing won't help because the bacteria attaches too tightly and this particular this particular strain of e-coli is toxic. This is not like Montezuma's revenge. This is e-coli 0157 and it can kill you and especially the very young and the very old.
          The freshly bagged spinach is so popular it can be found on most all supermarket shelves. But e-coli starts out in animals especially cattle and their feces. The problem arises when those feces come in contact with animal meat, milk, fruit or vegetables. If that tainted food then enters your digestive track, your body works hard to push it back out again.Washing spinach won't get rid of this powerful and dangerous strain of e-coli. The only solution is to throw the vegetable away.
