An ATV accident on Sunday claimed the life of a 12-year-old Dorton girl. According to a statement from the Kentucky State Police, 12-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Colley was riding with a 13-year-old boy on a 2008 Yamaha Rhino ATV along railroad tracks near Blair View Drive on Sunday.

The statement said the ATV got stuck in the gravel on the railroad tracks and Colley and the boy were trying to free the vehicle when it went into a nearby creek on top of them.
