February 2010 Britax "Blink" Stroller Recall
On February 11, 2010, Britax Child Safety Inc. announced the recall of approximately 14,000 Britax "Blink" umbrella strollers made in China because the stroller's hinge poses a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to a child when the stroller is being unfolded or opened. No injuries or incidents have been reported.
The recall includes all Britax "Blink" single umbrella strollers. Another 900 strollers in Canada are part of the recall. The recalled strollers were sold online and at child product and mass merchandise retailers nationwide in the U.S. and Canada from July 2009 through this month. January 2010 Graco Stroller Recall
On January 20, 2010, about 1.5 million strollers made by Graco Children's Products were recalled after reports of children's fingers being cut when the canopy was opened or closed. The recalled strollers are Graco's Passage, Alano and Spree strollers and travel systems.
The strollers were made in China and sold at Babies "R" Us, Toys "R" Us, Kmart, Fred Meyer, Sears, Target, Walmart, Meijers, AAFES, Navy Exchange, Burlington Coat Factory and other retailers for between $80 and $90 for the strollers and between $150 and $200 for the travel systems.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall Wednesday morning after Graco received seven reports of children being injured when their fingers got caught in canopy hinge as it was being opened or closed. Two children's fingers were cut and there were five reports of children losing their fingertips.
The recalled strollers were manufactured between October 2004 and February 2008. The manufacture date and model number can be found on the lower inside portion of the rear frame, just above the rear wheels.

Baby Carriage and Stroller Safety Recalls
According to the CPSC, baby carriages and strollers may pose significant safety risks. For example, a child may catch a body part upon the structure, fall, suffer injuries as a result of a collapse or tip-over.

- Maclaren Strollers
In November 2009, Maclaren recalled over one million strollers due to a hinge problem that led to at least 12 children getting fingers amputated.
- Regal Lager Inc. Stroller Attachments
In September 2004, Regal Lager Inc., of Kennesaw, Georgia voluntarily recalled approximately 11,500 Lascal Buggy Board stroller attachments. The Buggy Board's red connecting pins reportedly can break, causing the board to partially detach from the stroller or carriage, posing a fall hazard to the user.
- Dorel Juvenile Group
USA COSCO "Rock 'N Roller" Baby
Strollers
In June 2004, Dorel Juvenile Group USA, of Columbus, Indiana voluntarily recalled 300,000 COSCO "Rock 'N Roller" Baby Strollers. If the stop pins are bent or missing, or the seat is not fully attached, the seat can partially detach from the frame during use and the infant occupant can be injured in a fall.
- Baby Trend "Passport" Strollers
In May 2004, Baby Trend, Inc., of Ontario, California, voluntarily recalled "Passport" strollers. The fold joint can reportedly collapse unexpectedly, causing a baby to fall.
