What is Salmonella Poisoning? |
|
| Symptoms of foodborne
illness caused by Salmonella include fever,
diarrhea and abdominal cramps. In persons
with poor underlying health or weakened
immune systems, Salmonella can invade the
bloodstream and cause life-threatening
infections. |
| Most persons infected
with
Salmonella develop diarrhea, fever,
and abdominal cramps 12 to 72 hours after
infection. The illness usually lasts 4
to 7 days, and most persons recover without
treatment. However, in some persons the
diarrhea may be so severe that the patient
needs to be hospitalized. The elderly,
infants, and those with impaired immune
systems are more likely to have a severe
illness. |
| If you or a family
member have suffered a serious injury or
a loved one has died after being exposed
Salmonella from tainted
food, including the peanut
butter recall,
you may be eligible to file a claim. Please

| The law in most states provides individuals with legal
claims and the right to compensation for injuries they suffer as a result
of a defective product or the negligence of another. The injured person
may file a lawsuit seeking compensation for his or her pain and suffering,
medical expenses, lost past and future wages and punitive damages. |
